Install

Three taps, either phone

iPhone and iPad Safari

    Open the link in Safari.

    Chrome on an iPhone can't install it.

    Tap Share — bottom of the screen.

    Scroll down, tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.

    Open the link in Chrome.

    Samsung Internet works the same way.

Then: the daruma icon lands on your home screen. Tap it and the timer opens full screen — no browser bars, and it keeps working when the wifi doesn't.

Use it

From the bench to the first bell

    Pick a preset

    Rolling, drilling, shark tank, or a match.

  2. 02

    For a match, tap your belt

    The round length follows it: white is 5 minutes, purple 7, black 10.

  3. 03

    Set rounds, rest and sound

    Tap the gear. Choose a bell, a gong or the announcer.

  4. 04

    Tap anywhere to start

    Get ready counts down 10 seconds to find a partner, or tap Skip. The last seconds turn red, and rest shows in blue.

Sideways or upright

Lean the phone on its side at the edge of the mat, or stand it up. Turn it and the timer lays itself out again without losing the round.

The screen stays on for the whole session.

If something's off

Quick fixes

No sound on iPhone
The side silent switch mutes the bells. Flick it to ring.
Screen keeps going dark
Low Power Mode, below 20%. Settings › Battery › off, or plug in. The round keeps running either way.
Stuck on an old version
Close the app completely and open it again.
